Apparently this was a concern to those involved also. I don't know who made the selection, but during Hubie's first press conference he introduced his assistant coaches and they mentioned retaining Lionel Hollins. Hubie made a point to say how well Hollins communicates with the young players. The other assistants include Hubies' son and Tony Barone (formerly of A&M) and another advance scout who's name I didn't catch. Count me in with those who enjoyed Hubie as an annoucer. Perhaps the poster that said Hubie only mentioned the obvious is in the wrong profession.
I like Hubie too as an announcer. Hes good at breaking down stuff. Even though Im a rockets fan and Memphis is in our division, i want to see Memphis do well because I like several of their players. Hopefully, Hubie can pull it off. It appears that Memphis can score, they just need some defensive structure.
