Isn’t Jaylen Brown just Kyrie-light in terms of the wacky conspiracy theories? Do we really want that on this team even if he is really good? Also please no Ime, Nurse would be perfect.
You gotta take everything you hear from the media with a grain of salt. They also said Silas wouldn’t make it past MLK day as coach, but he’s still here.
Silas is going to get another year. Here is why: The organization wants him to tank. Please see Tilman's comments as recent as Galveston Mardi Gras about Wemby. Overall improvement from the younger players cited by Stone and Tilman. The organization has an average age of just over 21 years old via their rotation. The Rockets have yet to bring in NBA vets to pair with their young talent. Hes going to get another year for doing the organization as a solid. The Nick Nurse/Udoka stuff is really interesting to me though and obviously I would prefer that, but my gut tells me they give Silas one more year as it will be the first year the Rockets look for a better winning culture.
Yes and if Kyrie played defense like him then I would take Kyrie too. All this stuff is distractionary, I don't care who they are as long as they're: winners and good teammates in the organization. I like all the suggested names in the video except Udoka. We have one season of good coaching from him and the next coach was immediately able to do better. Nothing has been proven there. I want a proven coach. Kenny Atkinson and even Vogel (who is uninspiring on offense) have proven they can build a good program and culture and win more than their roster should win. Sounds like a list of coaches who are exactly the opposite of Silas lol I'm not sure it will work. It's an idea from the 80's to bring some tough guys in to toughen some kids up. Great NBA players are more free to move to new teams than ever and they will just go to the coaches who can both win and treat them like with the respect of equals. Also I should say, I've only watched a few videos of these guys in the OP but I have never believed they actually have insider info. I think they are making it up or talking to someone who is making it up. Just my opinion, nothing to prove it right or wrong.
Pursue someone who isn’t even a FA suuuuuuuure and what exactly does a perennial championship contender want for him, certainly not anything the current rockets have it’s not even April 1st and giving out fake news
Only way this happens is if Brown demands a trade and we don’t get a top 3 pick. Then you unload the 23 pick, LAC pick, and all the BKN picks plus Tate, KPJ, KMJ, etc. I would bet they demand Sengun as well. Still worth it. Brown, Green, and Smith gives you arguably the best young core in the league and you still have cap space to sign a pg like Harden or FVV.
The only way I feel comfortable about this if getting Brown doesn't make them consider trading Green for him. If that is what it takes then NO. Jaylen Brown has greatly improved his defense since joining the league but man Green is projected to be better at everything else in the game. I mean at Green's stage, Brown was averaging more turnovers than assists on a significantly more competent roster with better structure. He had and sometimes has more severe tunnel vision issues than Green.
What if the Celtics say they aren't even considering a trade with us for Brown unless it includes Green? Because I'm afraid that's the only way it would happen.
