So he's basically the worst defensive big man in the history of the game? Well being number one must be worth a max deal...
That's all nice and cute but tax be damned when you have Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka, AND Harden on the same team. The owner was cheap and is still cheap. What did they get out of the Harden trade? Adams is the only thing left from their Harden trade "haul".
That article is garbage. If they kept Harden they could have tried to win the title in 2013 before trading him the next summer. Or they could have traded him later. They fuc$ed up.
Holds as much weight as Broussard reporting Cuban was driving around Downtown Dallas errrr Houston, frantically searching for DeAndre's home/address. Harden wanted to not only leave but desperately leave not only his teammates but his "brothers" (or besties)? Nope. Things have obviously worked out well for him since leaving but desperately wanting to leave? Nope, don't buy it.
this guy is no where near worth a max contract. he's an energy player. that's it. very similar to faried as far as capabilities on the court. hilarious what horrible contracts teams are willing to put out there these days. It's only a matter of time in a year or two whichever team this guy is on, they're going to want to unload him quickly off that team.

This is more of a middle finger given to OKC by Portland IMO. Are the Blazers taking a risk and hoping that his offense continues to grow and his defense can get to passable levels? Probably but this is to put OKC in a corner and see how they react.
Yes, but he's fairly effective offensively - something you can't say for any of the other guys on that list. I mean pairing a defensively challenged big next to defensive superstar Ibaka isn't crazy thinking.
Agreed except I think Presti will be there a long time. He'll end up being the most successful GM OKC ever had because that franchise is doomed after KD leaves. You nailed it. Either OKC will regret matching or Portland will regret the offer if OKC doesn't match. Some people here just aren't aware how awful Kanter is on defense.
Yeah if we can deal a nonguaranteed or preferably trade exceptions for Augustin, we should do it. Anyone not named Lin is better than Bev.
It's still a noticeable downgrade; it looks like the Ibaka-Kanter units are about 10-20% worse than the Ibaka-Adams units in terms of PPP on defense, without a corresponding bump on offense.
Nobody wants to bring back Novak? A three point specialist off the bench may come in handy. $3.75 mil. is a bit much, but it's the final year of his contract.
