This was from yesterday, implying OKC would match anything, but either way I think it helps the Rockets slightly that OKC aren't getting Kanter at a discount. <blockquoteclass="twitter-tweet" lang="en">
With the July moratorium ending tomorrow, feeling is either Kantersigns with OKC, or signs an offer sheet elsewhere that OKC then matches.
— Royce Young (@royceyoung) July 8, 2015

Augustin would be the perfect backup guard for this team. Could even start alongside James. He's got game and could run the second unit.
Would love to grab DJ Augustin for this team. Excellent shooting, good passing, fantastic leadership skills. Buddies with KD for 2016
Why would anyone "love" DJ Augustin unless you are a longhorn fan? He's short and he isn't a good shooter.
Excellent shooting? He's had some really good years and some mediocre years. More of a Beverley type offensive player than "excellent."
Me too. The only reason to not get Augustin is if OKC refuses to deal him here because we're a Western Conference rival. With Papa's non-guaranteed deal at our disposal and Augustin due only 3 mil next season before coming off the books(i.e. it doesn't impact the Durant pipe dream), Morey has no excuse to not make the call to Presti.
If a player like Kostas is given to OKC, and since his salary is Non Guaranteed? Does OKC have to pay it? If that is the case, perhaps we could nab Augustin and Morrow?
They are going to give Kanter the max and pay luxury tax, but would not give Harden the max right after they made it to the finals....got it!
Career 37% 3 PT shooter and shot 40% from the three on 332 attempts in 2013-2014 season. That's better than anyone else on our team. http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/a/augusdj01.html
And things just keep getting worse for....for Sam Presti Hang in there man, only a 6 year long cold streak...
