Don't forget tesla is taking more money from the government through bidens climate law than literally any other company in the country! He's taking in BILLIONS of dollars of government subsidies while claiming the country can't survive another 4 years of biden simply cuz he wants to eliminate the NLRB cuz he's afraid of his workers joining a union.

Hes the textbook definition of a piece of garbage. No surprise that the worst folks look up to him @AroundTheWorld @basso . Donkeys

Slight correction - ERMs Tesla took billions designated for Mary Barras GM. And now GM is dead in the water and can't collect a penny from this slush fund designated for them. JB administration fumbled this ball on the 2 yard line. Absolute clown show.

The treasury department literally gave tesla a waiver on sourcing requirements for EVs. Under the climate bill for vehicles to qualify for subsidies they need to source the minerals and parts in the usa. The bill wasn't tailored for any specific company. It was tailored to onshore the supply chain back to the USA.....

The treasury department gave a special waiver to tesla last year and tesla changed their entire business model to qualify for more subsidies.

Do you have any idea what you're talking about? Literally anything? Elon is swimming in government subsidies but then whine about the government cuz he doesn't want his force to unionize.

It was for the entire EV industry. Tesla is the most American made car. So obviously if Tesla didn't qualify, nobody else did either.

Tesla doesn't need to unionize. They take care of their employees. That is the whole point of a union, not for some idiotic political party to weaponize industry.

GM/Ford both announced that they would source their material from usa after the bill passed. Ford sourced more of their materials from the usa than tesla did. Tesla beforehand used chinnese batteries and sourced material strictly from China. It wasn't until after the IRA passed that tesla decided to move their supply chain back to usa. The point of the bill was to force EV makers to source and make their cars in the USA. The bill wasn't designed to help any specific company and your braindead talking point makes no sense.

Again it's the legal right of employees legalize if they choose. That's what the law states and the reason why NLRB was formed. Your opinion or my opinion doesn't matter. The only person's opinion which matters is the workers.

The bottom line is treasury gave huge exemptions to tesla which they didn't qualify for. Tesla benefited more than anyone else from the climate law

That isn’t exactly the reason for a union. It’s for workers to collectively pool their negotiating power with management.

pro athletes are very well compensated and taken very well care of by team owners but they have very powerful unions.

I see all fundraising emails as spam to me. This is an old article from 2022.

    To response to this seriously:

1- The study does not provide any specific figure on the financial impact to Republicans due to the observed biases in email spam filtering. This seems to be from another source that is not disclosed in the Fox News article. The way they wrote it is misleading, leading one to believe the $ figure is from the study itself. My guess is the $ figure came from the RNC or Fox News itself, which I would consider unreliable and is used to generate outrage and clickbait.

2- Remember when Republicans laughed at the notion that algorithms can be biased? Okay, we are well past that.

3- The study found biases in email spam filtering for the 2020 US election. This Fox article cherry-picked the result to only show the bias from Gmail while leaving out the bias from Yahoo and Outlook. Here is a summary of the results:

    • Gmail marked 59.3 more emails from Republican candidates as spam.
    • Outlook marked 20.4% more emails from Democratic candidates as spam.
    • Yahoo marked 14.2 more emails from Democratic candidates as spam.

4- The study looked at the potential causes of the observed bias and provided some comments on them:

    • "Arguably, there is also this possibility that the SFAs (Spam Filter Alg) of email services learnt from the choices of some voters marking certain campaign emails as spam and started marking those/similar campaign emails as spam for other voters."
    • "we have no reason to believe that there were deliberate attempts from these email services to create these biases to influence the voters"

5- Spam filters are customizable to each user and adapt to users' preferences and actions. The filter learns from users' actions (on which email is spam). Users may also create their own filters. The study confirmed that the algorithm did adapt to users' actions and that did have an impact on bias.

In summary, this Fox News article is biased by selectively leaving out the bias against Democratic candidates by Outlook and Yahoo, and misleading readers that the $2B in lost is from the study when it was not.

For those who actually care about bias, this is simply more evidence of what we knew - algorithms can be biased and no, if you look at the overall study, it is not heavily biased to one side or the other in this study.

As for Musk, this again shows he's an extremely biased person that pushes a right-wing agenda.

ps. It's important to not consume tweets with zero critical thinking.

Watching musk over the past year, it seems he is becoming radicalized right before our eyes.................for such a smart dude, he sure reply's to some dumb misinformation that can be easily debunked, but when you are going down the rabbit hole.........

Dec 2023.....................sound familiar on the group of "friends"

On Sunday evening, for instance, instead of addressing the families of victims of the Sandy Hook shooting and explaining to them his rationale for entrusting Jones with a large audience, Musk spent his time hanging out with the professional conspiracy theorist and other right-wing extremists on an audio stream, answering their questions and taking their requests.

That audio stream included Andrew Tate, the misogynistic right-wing influencer indicted by Romanian authorities on charges of human trafficking and rape (Tate denies them); Laura Loomer, a right-wing extremist and self-described “Islamophobe”; retired Gen. Michael Flynn, a once respected military member who embraced conspiratorial delusion; and Jack Posobiec, a far-right internet personality.

It was a look, in effect, at Musk’s cabinet of advisers. The world’s richest man surrounding himself with dishonest figures and allowing them to shape the policies of X, a communications platform still used by world governments, top companies, news organizations and public figures. His flirtation with some of the most notorious right-wing extremists is not happening in secret, off-the-record meetings. It is happening in broad daylight for everyone to see.

You're thinking too much into it. Musk is a smart guy and knows he can't attack unions in public cuz the majority of Americans like unions and favor workers to corporations. Workers are forming unions left and right. Volkswagen workers just announced they're forming a union

Musk has recently sued the NLRB (the only agency that can approve unions) declaring that it's unconstitutional

    https://www.latimes.com/business/story/2024-01-31/column-elon-musk-nlrb-lawsuit-spacex

He knows his anti immigration bullshit is easier to sell than to attack unions. He wants trump to win cuz he doesn't want his workforce to unionize. He's stated many times that would be the downfall of tesla.

He fools his typical low iq supporters @AroundTheWorld @Space Ghost nd obviously the boomer morons @basso

Perhaps, you are mistaken ... about Telsa ... about unions ... about political parties and the weaponization thereof.

    Perhaps, just perhaps.

No, I am not mistaken. Unions are needed where an employer dominates the workforce. In area's where there is plentiful work, the employee can seek better employment else where. Otherwise they are largely not needed.

Owners and management have plenty of resources and freedom to look after their interests. Workers also deserve to be able to look after their best interests. Unions are one way to do that. That is true regardless of how much work is available.

    This is comically wrong.
