Different catfish species taste differently. Yellow cats (flatheads) are delicious: not too fishy, nice soft white flakey meat. Channels & blue cats not so much. All depends on what you catch & where you catch it (catfish from ponds tend to have a muddy taste...pretty nasty).

My old man + yellow cat + blue cat.

You couldn't pay me enough to eat a farmed catfish. Read up on how they operate.

Fish is a great source of protein.

True catfish species do taste somewhat different and everybody I know prefers flatheads although channels and blues aren't bad if you get them when they are not too big. I would not eat any blue or channel over 5-7 pounds. Origin is important too because it determines what they eat, what goes through their bodies, etc.

I know very little about farmed catfish, the little that I do know comes from my girlfriend's uncle who has several ponds. All levels of farming have some controversy surrounding them so I am sure aquaculture is no different.

With canned tuna, salt + pepper, absolutely. I could eat that stuff alone as a meal.

If it smells like fish, eat it...

    or...

    Salmon, the other pink meat...

    or...

I ate fish when I was a freshman in high school and college and I love it!

I keed...On a serious note, I guess I need to watch the news as I only caught a the tail end of a news story a couple of days ago so I don't reallly know what's going on...

ON a side note, a friend of mine ate tuna at a grand opening of a Korean store up here in Dallas and got food poisoning...He said it was the worst two days of his life...
