https://theringer.com/dwight-howard-traded-to-charlotte-hornets-from-atlanta-hawks-187c03809b00 That's harsh: Howard was apathetic and useless for the Hawks last season. The Hawks realized that, playing him just 16 of the team’s 72 fourth-quarter minutes in their first-round postseason loss to the Wizards. (He was benched for the entirety of the fourth quarter twice.) They probably should have played him less.
I don't think Howard saying he was going to practice threes was a form of rebellion--just him being clueless. Instead of making himself relevant in today's game by embracing becoming a good or great pick-and-roll player, he figures he'll work on shooting threes. That's like a three-yards-and-a-cloud-of-dust running back deciding that to become more relevant in today's NFL, instead of learning to reliably run patterns and catch the ball, he'll work on his quarterbacking skills.
You simply cannot be a good pick&roll player in this league without shooting on a veterans legs nowadays
Harden would be 2x mvp if howard ended up on the warriors, and durant would have joined harden in houston. wow
DeAndre Jordan is plenty effective as a pick-and-roll dive man. Howard himself has been when he's actually set good screens and attacked the hoop. Shooting isn't his problem--if anything, the ancillary skill he's never developed is passing to open shooters when defenses collapse on him. That's something he could and should have worked on for the past 5 years at least.
Crazy, but true. Curry wouldn't have won 2 MVP with Howard demanding step to "STOP SHOOTING AND FEED ME" KD and Harden are pals. They both love Strippers, White women, and big butt. KD loves Houston and the Strip club scene. DAMN YOU DWIGHT!!
Your comparison is laughable, Dwight has lost legs under him in Houston and he was dead in Hawks uniform, he just can't jump and finish with contact at the same time no more, don't even try to think that his legs are in the same shape as DeAndres at this stage of his career with Howard's injury history
When you cant even put you're ego aside at this stage of you're career thern No one but you are to blame. Dwight has this silly notion that the offense must run through him despite his lack of skills. He tore the team apart here and the Hawks had enough of his antics over there as well.
Anyone have ESPN's "insider" trade grade for this ?? Just curious because the title says there is a clear winner.
