Statement from Lakers General Manager Mitch Kupchak July 05, 2013 7:25 pm PDT The following statement has been issued by Lakers General Manager Mitch Kupchak. "We have been informed of Dwight's decision to not return to the Lakers. Naturally we're disappointed. However, we will now move forward in a different direction with the future of the franchise and, as always, will do our best to build the best team possible, one our great lakers fans will be proud to support. To Dwight, we thank him for his time and consideration, and for his efforts with us last season. We wish him the best of luck on the remainder of his NBA career."
LOL, he better change that background, though. Maybe that's what the hold up was about. Putting that picture together.
I hate the media. With a passion. They are liars. And Doc Rocket is awesome. All you DR haters need to head over to his twitter and grovel. He called it. He was CF's best insider for a decade for a reason.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>It's Houston. Source close to Dwight Howard confirms that he'll join the Rockets. He'll inform the Lakers and make an official announcement.</p>— Alex Kennedy (@AlexKennedyNBA) <a href="https://twitter.com/AlexKennedyNBA/statuses/353340108235227137">July 6, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Mike Meltser pointed out something. Rockets acquired James Harden and Dwight Howard without a losing season. Amazing.
Truth Exactly. It tells me that he has learned from the fallout of "The Decision" surrounding Lebron not informing the Cavs first. He chose to do the classy thing and inform the Lakers personally. The fact that he informed everybody else they have been eliminated should tell you all you need to know. Disappointing that he gets all the flack for unscrupulous reporters when he absolutely handle his free agency with real professionalism.
what if dwight came out right now and said his twitter was hacked and he never changed his pic/location
Thank you. The thing is, he knew a long time ago. For real. I received about a year and a half about something and then a few more about events leading up to here confirmed this (all I really needed considering the source). It's amazing. ESPN really DOES come up with their own story. Some of their stories literally are out of the blue. I am interested how they twist the Josh Smith ordeal.
