I picked for him because it's the first round and wanted to make sure he got a top player rather than getting skipped, and picked according to the ESPN default rankings. Exactly the same as if we were drafting live and he lost connection. That is the only logical way to do it. It would have been KD in that spot no matter where I was in the order.
