Leunen and Newley shouldn't count in Morey's 2nd round grade since they're picks in the 50's(I think) and aren't supposed to be close to making an NBA team anyways. Can't call them busts since they're not supposed to do much at all for the big club, just assets and hopefuls.
Joey Dorsey is who he is: A rebounding specialist who can defend some. No one's asking him to be an offensive superstar because that's not him. There are places all over the league for someone who can put a body on the people and rebound the ball at a high rate. Ironically enough, I believe these Rockets could actually find him helpful.
A rebounding machine. Hmmm, kind of like a Greg Oden. Except with less offensive skill set and size, but more durability.
Dorsey BOUNCES back in game 2. Link to Box score 9-12 shooting 4-6 FTs and 18 rebounds. Two game totals 14.5ppg and 16rpg while shooting 60% from the field. FT% uh...don't ask yet.....it is worse than Chucks. DD
9-11 shooting, And wow, that's a nice game right there. Mike Harris played great as well from the looks of it... Thanks for the update Dada...
Wow! Let's get him in the starting line-up...step-aside Chuck! I can't wait for his interview where he says he deserves a shot because of his dominant D-League performance.
I say throw him in the deep end. Give him 10-15 minutes a game at NBA level. If he sinks, cut him lose, but he may flourish. How knows?
out of curiousity: Does anyone know how much are those DL player making for playing the whole season?
Thank you bro, That is much lower than my guess, I thought it could be something comparable to a decent full-time job
A second rounder who gives you double digit rebounds and some defensive presence... not really a bust IMO. I'm pretty sure he'll find a home somewhere in the NBA with those attributes.
Pass, rockets have enough midgets on the frontline and why would they need a 5th small forward on the team behind Ariza, Battier, Tracy and Budinger.
Wow. Public school teachers make more money than NBDL players, but with more paid holidays and vacation. That explains why American players go to Europe instead of the D-League, after they fail to get a NBA contract.
its pretty sad that the threadstarter didn't even take the 15 rebounds into consideration. dorsey was never an offensive threat to begin with. morey basically dfated him for blocks and rebounds, and he should stay on the roster for his rebounds alone. i like mike harris too and he most definately should have still been on the thunder's roster. didn't the thunder coach decided to keep kevin ollie over harris??????!!!!!!!
