Doesn't the new Dallas Burn logo look a little too familiar?

    Sorry if it's already been posted.

    Anyway, the Dallas Burn (MLS scoccer team) changed their name to FC Dallas, and also changed their logo and team colors.

    I doubt they'd release something like that without having some sort of approval from the Texans or the NFL. Just a guess.

    I honestly didn't think it looked all that similar, but that's just me!

    That logo doesn't look all that similar to that of the Texans. And speaking of the Burn, a couple of weeks ago, I took some money from a couple of Burn players in hold'em.

    i agree it's similar, but really:
    -colors?--state flag.
    -animal?--basically an international symbol for the state (and BEEF!)
    -multi-colored bull?--see previous 2.
    -star?--"lone star state." cowboys, Texans, stars, astros, rangers,...
    chill...

    it's certainly not an exact replica...but if you're trying to create a unique branding image for a pro sports team in texas, i'm not sure you go with a modernized red, white and blue bull profile complete with white star just a few years after another team in Texas unveils the exact same concept.

    seriously...i can almost imagine the designers of the Texans logo coming up with this one as an option for the Texans, back when they were choosing this. like this one is part of the evolution that ultimately became the Texans logo.

    the image of the texans logo is too engrained in me now to be objective about it.

    Enough with the soccer bashing already.

    I like the name change (although doing it in the middle of the season is kind of weird) to a more traditional soccer club name. The logo is a little close for my taste to the Texans logo. I do like it, but I would imagine someone from the Texans or NFL would have had final approval.

    if you look at it upside down it looks exactly like the texans logo well almost especailly the part with the star as the eye
