Or know of anyone who does? Would you/they sponsor an overseas applicant for a position, if all legal fees associated with the forms being filed etc were paid for in addition to being paid a $10K thank you fee?
Farthest thing from a scam. There are a few different paths you can get a work visa in the United States and having an employee sponsor you is one of them. The $10K is a legitimate thank you.
I can't imagine any legitimate company doing this. The risk is not close to the reward of the "thank you" fee.
Not that easy. If it were, every Asian with their own business would be doing this for their family and friends from their native country.
I own a business and thank you but no thanks. I really don't want the hassle and the risk of sponsoring an employee that we don't have a need for and the possibility of running afoul of ICE.
PM DD, he might be able to help... he has his own game development company of some sort. Or you can ask bigtexxx to dish an assist because he's part of the 1%.
I worked at a summer camp for years that brought in an International Staff for summers only, and when the owner saw potential in an employee he would hire them on and participate in the very process that the OP described. they have had a South African, an Aussie and a Dutchman(?-someone from The Netherlands-?) on their full time year round staff since 1999 who are all on their way to being naturalized if they haven't married and started a family here already...
