McHugh comes across as a very intelligent guy. Giles seems like an idiot. Mentally, I think the two are probably a couple standard deviations away from each other. Giles is a freakin’ cave man with a glove.

Oh I've said much the same about Giles. Baseball players as a whole are not exactly noted intellectuals, but what I was talking about has nothing really to do with intelligence.

Might as well say his goodbyes because he's never coming back to the Astros.

That’s the right move. Let him learn a lesson and work on himself. If he is mature about the demotion and shows the right signs of emotional growth, then give him another shot when there’s an injury or when rosters expand. They likely weren’t counting on him in the playoffs anyway, and he can get a fresh start as a setup man next season.

His trade value is bottomed out right now; he would have more value after some time passes so if they really wanna cut bait they can shop him this offseason.

As an English fan, even if England can win this World Cup semi final, this may still be the greatest news of my day.

...and if you just take out this one pitch, this one batter, this one inning, he's actually not that bad.

I guess Fresno needed some new fences put up in the outfield and needed some NAILS!
