    Dad's side Cantonese as far back as known. Mom's side mostly from the Nanjing area but my great grandfather was a Mongolian who served as an Imperial guard.

    My Dad's side is English (I guess) but my Mom's side is a mystery. I would like to find out about this side of my family. Would the genebase type websites be able to do this?

    I'm the same, but switch the sides. My mom's side is 100% British, whereas my Dad's side is a hodgepodge. But my last name is French, so I'll say I'm 25% French.
