Lucasfilm has dropped the first trailer for “Ahsoka,” showcasing the newest adventure for Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker’s beloved padawan. The trailer was released as part of London’s Star Wars Celebration on Friday. The upcoming Disney+ series stars Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka, an exiled Jedi who was once Anakin’s apprentice before he turned to the dark side and became Dark Vader. The show will premiere in August, Disney confirmed at the event. Kathleen Kennedy and Jon Favreau praised “Ahsoka” showrunner Dave Filoni, who was joined on stage by Dawson and Natasha Liu Bordizzo, who plays Sabin Wren, a Mandalorian warrior, revolutionary and graffiti artist who first appeared in “Star Wars Rebels.” Also surprising U.K. fans was Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who revealed she’ll be playing Hera Syndulla from Rebels. “Ahsoka” is set to hit Disney+ in August. I'm down for watching it. I just hope it's more Mandalorian/Andor than Kenobi, or God forbid, Boba Fat.
I bet by the fourth day of filming (and 16th hours in the makeup chair), the lead actor was wishing they had animated this.
This is the the thing I by far was most excited for when they announced this package of shows a few years back. Disney's batting average on their shows is extremely low right now, but I'm trying to remain optimistic. Ahsoka is Filonis baby so I'm hoping for extra care.
Honestly, I'd rather get fatigued than be wondering what/when their next project will be.... Marvel, Star Wars, DC, John Wick franchises etc.... They'll eventually jump their sharks for real and we'll probably ignore them for the next better coming of.

I take it you don't like The Mandalorian and didn't like Andor? What was your beef with those two series'?
Great, another Star Wars woke trash show..... No one cares about new Star Wars content anymore, they ruined the franchise.
My initial gut reaction to the trailer was that it isn't going to a level any higher than that of the Mandalorian 3. The scenes looked similar to me in their construction. Small sets with some cardboard acting. But I'm presuming a lot on very little. My personal concern will be that they need to make sure the newbies to Ashoka understand the backstory and characters. For example, I don't know her connection to Annakin. I don't know who the Thrawn is. I don't know who is Erza is. Know of them. But don't know the story. So I hope they don't assume I do.
