I know this show has been on for about a month or so, but I caught the first four episodes last weekend and, oddly, was quite entertained by this group of noob gold diggers. I kept watching, waiting for Jack to do something completely disastrous while disregarding everything his son was telling him not to do.

I know the backstory says these guys were all coming from non-mining backgrounds, but it's really hard to believe how *level one* these guys truly are/were.

And the episode with the 15 year old kid coming over and practically laughing at how inept they were was priceless.

    Anyone else watch?

Your interest in 15-yr-old kids is really creepy.

Dickota (see what I did there ) should get his old gimp legged ass kicked. Then again, the guy should have made his payments on time.

I really like this show, hopefully they find gold in them there hills this season.

Having watched all of season one and knowing some of the backstory that Discovery never lets on to...the start of season two seems awfully scripted. I know these reality shows are producer controlled to some extent, but this one seems as though everything has to follow the script. I'll still watch, though. I'm waiting for the old man to flip the excavator into the hole they're digging.

Is this the one The Soup always makes fun of for constantly referencing the glory hole?

i dont' understand that line of work. why risk hundreds of thousands of dollars on a crapshoot? i didn't see the end of last season. did they actually excavate enough gold to make a profit?

No, they only got like 20k in gold, but the got more than half of it in the final couple of days......making them think there were really close to the main vein.

Now they have no claim and are going up to Klondike to find one.....

How can you not cheer for these guys?

Well, Gold Rush has grown up.

Parker with 3300 ounces, Hoffman with 3000 ounces, and Tony with 600 from the dredge and much more from his other mines.

Still a riveting show, anyone else watching?
