Diet Sodas: Are They Bad for You?

awesome, maybe you can tell me what's a great (IOW, practical) product that can deter dry mouth. i drink plenty of water so that's not a problem.

 

From Chicago. Actually, when I was writing the post, I stopped to think about whether or not Texans called it "soda" or "coke," and just decided to go ahead with pop. Strangely, I forgot about this site, which is awe-some:

Dry mouth = xerostomia

-possible causes are side effects of meds., disease, genetic (Sjogren's syndrome), and many other reasons.

How to fix it:
-chew suger free gum (i.e gum with xylitol and sorbitol are good) = to increase/stimulate salivary flow,
-keep your mouth hydrated,
-try not to use mouthwashes with a high alcohol persentage (i.e. listerine is bad for your case) and stay away from excessive alcohol drinking.
-see your dentist, he may be able to prescribe some artificial salivary stimulants and find the underlying cause of your dry mouth.
-you may be experiencing bad breath due to your dry mouth, this is expected...the gum should help with that and try brushing your tongue well.
