Did Trump just suggest that 2nd Amendment gun owners should assassinate Clinton?

Even the Trump campaign's spin can't clean this up. You can't have the chief statesman of a nation make so many downright ignorant verbal gaffes. Trump is just used to the uncouth company he has kept in entertainment, real estate , and casinos. He is lacking in every quality necessary to lead this nation. With him at the helm, we would be looking at the fracturing of western civilization. ISIS couldn't have dreamed a better outcome than a Trump presidency.

The best of all cases, in which we ignore what we all know this idiot insinuated, Trump still screwed up... again... bigly.

Uh, yeah. I don't think anyone thinks people using free speech to advocate murder should get a pass. BLM doesn't get a pass, watch fox news!

You deserve a gold medal for the unbelievable amount of mental gymnastics you must do to think that Trump is right.

Well....I mean they did when the father of Micheal Brown instructed the BLM mob to burn down Ferguson and they complied.....he really did get a pass for that, but it was wrong. Trump shouldn't get that kind of pass.

When have I ever supported Trump? I very pointedly stated when Trump got his post convention bounce and tied up with Hillary, he must stop his trolling and start acting like an adult if he's going to have a snowballs chance in hell. He has done the complete opposite, going full steam ahead with his antics. I have also stated I do not think Trump is trying to win.

We are instead treating this election like a giant circus that could only mimic some crap on reality TV. The rest of the world looks upon us pathetically.

You liberals like to say 'Oh look at Europe and how awesome it is. We need to do everything that they are doing'. Sadly this is coming more true everyday. If we need to start doing anything they do, its end the two party system duopoly.

Do you really think this is a fair election to this country and its people? To let the two party system be manipulated into letting these two fools run on their tickets? We are a melting pot from all over the world but yet somehow we feel that an either/or party somehow represents everyone?

Its blind party followers like yourself who like to mock others for disagreeing that allows this duopoly to happen.

Hard to say. Granted, we cannot expect Trump's grammar and syntax to be correct much of the time, but if it were correct. . . .

Maybe he is imagining that she will pick several judges on one horrible day. . . . Doesn't make sense to me, but his speech can't be parsed too much.

I don't think he was threatening violence or suggesting that - I think he just was rambling and said something easily misinterpretable. I mean, I could see how it might have been inadvertent.

Even if that were true, can you imagine that happening with dignitaries and foreign leaders?

This orange **** could get us nuked!

Go ahead. Wallow in your mental gymnastics while you make your tortured attempt to shout, with very minor paraphrasing, "A plague on both their houses!" Pretend that "Both parties are the same! It's all rigged!" Imagine that, "The rest of the world looks upon us pathetically," when the opposite is true. I feel sorry for you. I truly do, and with all due respect, I'm very glad I am not you.

    What are you talking about

He didn't even say Go vote against Hillary. He said if Hillary were to pick her judges, implying she's already won the election and became president, then the Second Amendment people should stop her and her SCOTUS nominees.

How the hell do you interpret this in a non violent way, regardless of whether he intended it as a joke or not.

Trump certainly implied that the only to protect American's guns was for someone who loves the second amendment to use their guns to eliminate her.

That is certainly one way to interpret Trump's comments. Whether he meant it or not only matters as to whether he should be locked up or not.

If he didn't mean it that way, then he doesn't understand how language works, and the importance of words when they are coming from people who are leading and representing political parties of the most powerful nation in the world.

People at Trump's rally clearly interpreted his comments that way, and they are definitely Trump supporters and not anyone who has a biased agenda against Trump.

    That's first.

    Second.

What gets lost in this, is the fact that Hillary has never advocated abolishing the second amendment.

Of course Trump manages to over-shadow the Orlando shooter's father supporting Hillary.

Former Rep from Az, Gabby Giffords, was shot in the head in 2011 while meeting with constituents in Tucson, Arizona. The man who shot her and killed six people at the meeting had a long history of mental illness.

Her take on Trump's innuendo that, once Clinton is elected, gun owners can take matter into their own hand

“Responsible, stable individuals won’t take Trump’s rhetoric to its literal end, but his words may provide a magnet for those seeking infamy.
They may provide inspiration or permission for those bent on bloodshed.”

I think Trump knew exactly what he was doing when he made that 2nd amendment comment. His word choice was deliberate and calculated, as well as his tone to try and make it seem like some throwaway joke comment. He likely knew in advance how many people would viscerally react and knew how the media would report it. It's all part of his attention-seeking plan. Similar to a troll on an internet forum. Trump is highly egotistical, sociopathic, extremely narcissistic and dangerous...but he's not stupid.

It's messed-up comments like this that make me wonder if Trump truly wants the job of POTUS, or if there's some secret ulterior motive or objective in his decision to run for office. (An objective so secret that even most people in his own campaign, including folks like Manafort, are kept in the dark about it.)

He didn't deserve that, gifford. People keep trying to pigeonhole ATW, when they aren't painting him with a broad brush. While we don't agree on everything, I truly like the guy. Sometimes it would be good to give that stuff a rest, in my opinion. You could have simply said, "Hey! I agree with you." Perhaps you'd find more to agree with than you might think, putting a particular religion aside, of course.

I'm torn between Trump running because he really wants the job, and Trump running just for the ego trip, never dreaming he'd get the nod, and now in the midst of a nervous breakdown in front of the entire country, and the world. I lean towards the latter. Of course, he could simply be a rich ******* who's really this twisted, bizarre, and mentally ill.
