New York Knicks guard Derrick Rose will miss the rest of the season with a torn meniscus, Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical reported. Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News first reported Rose would miss Sunday's game against the Boston Celtics. In his first season with the Knicks, Rose has largely been healthy. He's played in 64 of the team's 76 games, averaging 18.0 points and 4.4 assists. His health hasn't resulted in much success for the Knicks, who are on their way to their fourth straight losing season. Rose is an impending free agent this summer, so if the injury proves serious, he may have already played his last game in a Knicks uniform. https://www.google.com/amp/s/syndic...r-knicks-vs-celtics-with-knee-injury.amp.html
Sucks that an 18 ppg Rose, Anthony (who is nothing but a volume shooter) and Porzingis can't even make the playoffs in the East. I know the East isn't the East of the last decade or so, but those 3 should be able to lead a team to about 45 wins.
T-Mac had a considerably longer prime, Rose has three all-star seasons and that's it. No way someone with such a short peak and no title gets into the HoF.
Needs to retire...as he's mentioned before, he'll want to be able to walk when his playing days are over
I'm actually surprised this time, genuinely, because for some reason I ALREADY thought he was out for the season. Honestly didn't realize the guy was still playing. It feels like the Knicks are barely even in the league right now.
I don't know what slips my mind more: remembering Rose won the MVP that year (nearly unanimously) or that the Bulls had the best record in the NBA with 62 wins. The media was set to screw Lebron of his 3rd MVP in a row when he left for the Heat that year, not getting beat record sealed it. That MVP voting year is the Poster Child for "Best Player on Best Team" voting
