This is history repeating itself. His vote is crucial. Not many of his colleagues will Al Franken him. Why this is a shock for a repeat offender is because of how our lines are drawn and how it is reported to us.
I doubt he's stepping down and a possible trial won't occur for quite some time. Even if he did though NJ's governor would replace him with a hopefully not so corrupt appointee. Let's hope Feinstein can keep trucking along...
The last time this happened, his friends defended him because Christie could appoint an R to his seat. There's no reason for that this time, and the Feds probably have a tighter case to fulfill requirements from the SCOTUS decision. I'm being cynical to say there won't be any Dem leader calling him out. Feinstein gave support after his acquittal through mistrial, so it's not like he's some "creepy comedian" posting fake grope pictures that makes him an easy political target.
Sounds like a witch hunt to me. He beat the charges before and now his political opponents in the deep state like the Kochs and Murdochs are out for blood once again. Why can't you people just leave this courageous, honest, and reliable family man alone?
