I don't think think it is a stratagem or a ploy. It is SUCH a consistent conservative complaint through history all over the world. They honestly think of themselves as better than everybody else and have contempt for the great unwashed masses. I'm sure they love to limit the vote to landed gentry if they could get away with it.

[EDIT] The White House has condemned the attempted bombing of 2 former Presidents...but, as we've seen numerous times before, what the White House releases as a statement isn't necessarily what trump thinks or will follow up on.

 

TBF one was sent to the White House too. So I'm not sure what to make of it.
