Spoiler
It is super exciting. Probably my favorite sports night of the year these past few years. Can't wait.
Can't wait for lottery draft night! But hopefully we don't have to see these nights again for several years.
That’s kinda far off, another 10 draft lottery countdown threads will be forthcoming. You should have stated with a ‘tie breaker’ countdown. We’ll soon know if our worst case is 6 or 7 and 18-20 respectively.
Can't wait to find out where we'll pick. Anywhere in the top 5 and I think we're going to be happy with how the pick turns out, and I don't actually think they'll end up trading him away unless it's to move up and get somebody better. #6 or #7 would be a little disappointing, but could still end up being fine, especially if somebody drops. I'd be hoping to still get one of Amen/Walker/Miller there. If those guys are all off the board, I still like Ausar Thompson, Cam Whitmore, and some of the other prospects in the top 10 conversation, but it's definitely more likely the prospect we land ends up being a disappointment.
What day or when will we know we have received the number #1 overall pick? When is the day to find out what number we are?
Ah, sweet. The once-a-year tradition I long for. I get the feeling I will be disappointed this year more than any of the previous, but.... bring it on!
I am predicting that the draft tiebreakers will be held on 4/17. Last year it was a month before the draft lottery.
I've been feeling the same way. Despite the on court product, we've actually had pretty decent luck in the lottery. We got the #2 in 2021 when we could have been forced to give the pick to OKC and we got #3 last year. Both times we picked within the top group of players people thought could go on to be the best of the draft class. People would have lost their minds if we only got the #5 either year. Picking top 2 this year would be at the upper end of what's a reasonable hall 3 years in a row.
