IT's amazing, they are trying to accuse democrats of what they are doing.

Trump's Admin botches the whole reaction to this virus, and yet instead of now taking it seriously, they are playing politics by attacking Dems and pretending there is no problem so they can minimize political damage.

    Meanwhile the virus spreads.

Trump chief of staff Mick Mulvaney suggests people ignore coronavirus news to calm markets

    • White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney on Friday suggested that Americans should ignore media reports about the coronavirus amid fears of the deadly disease spreading into the U.S.
    • Mulvaney, who also heads the Office of Management and Budget, also said that there will “probably” be school closures and transportation issues due to the impact of the virus.
    • Mulvaney claimed that the media has only started paying close attention to the coronavirus because “they think this is going to be what brings down” President Trump.

These people are idiots. What would calm the stock markets and the business community would be general education and knowing that the CDC and the HHS had their act together. Just lying about it creates more panic because it shows they are panicked.

He's an idiot for not preparing the country. Firing the Pandemic team at the CDC and not asking Congress for the funds needed for the virus (he was slammed by Republicans by the way on this), and then telling the public that this is like the Flu - failure of preparation and a total failure of leadership.

People will die because of this. It's sad that you would rather defend your beloved Trump than stand any kind of criticism. SAD!

What’s sad is this is just another topic that the left runs around with their hair on fire with no good reason.

It just seems like we’ve really been caught flat footed on this thing, and I’m wondering why. We’ve been watching this crisis build in China for many weeks now. Did we think it wasn’t going to spread outside of China?

So, after watching this for weeks and weeks. We don’t have enough masks, we don’t seem to have enough test kits. Good luck finding hand sanitizer. Not sure our people have had proper training in handling possibly infected individuals. We’ve had mixed signals coming from various government officials.

Again, we’ve had weeks and weeks to prepare for this.

Did you watch/listen to conservative talk radio? It's hard to prepare for something that your party is mocking relentlessly as being some combination of a Chinese conspiracy theory, a totally overblown non-story from the media, etc.

Not sure but it's been a great week for buying the dip! if you forgot to buy last week's dip, you get your choice of new dips to buy, seemingly every day!

Coronavirus is more like low basis virus!

Not even because of the fact he decimated the dept that should be dealing with pandemics or the defunding of CDC?

That is a fair point of concern, but lets see what the fall out is. If the impact is bad in the USA, then he will be criticized and rightfully so...... it could even cost him the election.

NPR does this to a fault.

In the WP reporting: The Office of Special Counsel, an independent federal watchdog agency that investigates personnel issues, confirmed Thursday that it had received the complaint and opened a case. HHS said it was “evaluating the complaint.”

The 1st patient being related to AFB evacuees might indeed be wrong. That's not where the concern is. That patient is now known and I'm sure all the known contacts with the patient are being tracked. The concern is the incident of Fed workers coming into contact with evacuees without protection then proceed into the wild. Given how easily the virus transmit, that's inexcusable and poses preventable risk to the public. Hiding this information further increases that risk. I hope the gov already tracked down all of these people and are monitor them.
