Royce F'in White, another McHale blunder. IIRC, McHale is the one who pushed for Royce White to be drafted.

McHale the cancer and possible worst coach in the NBA and an embarassment to the Rockets does more damage than just on the court. Absolute liability on and off the court.

Aldemir a big with Asik type potential could have netted us another lottery pick. Instead we had to attach him to get rid of Royce White. We'd have two lottery picks to go get that 3rd star via trade. Thank you McHale.

All Mchale said was he thought he could handle him, it was Morey's fault.

There was even a Grantland article about the Rockets that mentioned how the Rockets should fire the likeable McHale and get a coach who...er, can't remember the exact quote, but something like "can take them to the next level" or some such.

Cyberx mentioned that Morey won't fire McHale because they're essentially buddies. As most of us have figured, that friendship is holding down the team.

It's like the rigging that tears free from the Surprise in a massive storm ("Master and Commander") and "is acting as a sea anchor, Captain! it's going to sink us, we must cut it loose!" Despite the sailor who fell overboard and is using that wreckage as a liferaft, Aubrey makes the right decision to chop free the tangled lines and fallen mast and save the ship. As much as it pains him to lose a popular crewman, he would have lost everybody otherwise.

We'll see how long Morey will keep wearing his old McHale Celtics jersey to work.

Yep, McHale going up against a Greg Popovich or even a Rick Carlisle in a playoff series is a scary thought. Terry whatshisname from Portland even schooled him this year.

I thought we were supposed to get our 3rd superstar to complete our big 3 this past Saturday?

Rediculous argument. Lots of respect to Cyberx for all the insight, but this is one I have a hard time believing.

Are McHale and Morey buddies? Perhaps. Does that matter when you're a GM working for the owner of a billion dollar business? Probably not.

Remember, this is Morey we're talking about. He wouldn't give Kostas Papanikolaou just $500k more to bring him overseas this year. He let Dragic walk over a player option. He's fired two coaches, one of whom he is still friends with (JVG).

If Morey doesn't think McHale is getting the job done, then McHale will be gone next summer, friend or not. Morey's responsibility is to Les and the Rockets.....not McHale.

I never said he WONT fire him... But that is a big reason why he hasn't been fired yet. Morey feels the coach is just the coach and it isn't the biggest factor.

I think Morey understands why we had such bad defense. I think he has brought in some help mainly Ariza. I also think player happiness is huge. Howard likes Mchale.

I'm glad I provoked your return, even if the appearance is fleeting. :)

We should fire Morey instead. Plenty of other guys in the front office who can do analytics.

Yeah plenty of guys could have gotten Harden and Howard while never having a top 10 pick or dipping under 500.

Because he has done such a bad job of taking a team not good enough to make the play-offs but too good to get a high draft pick with zero all-stars and parlayed that into a team that won 54 games last season with arguably the best players in the NBA at two positions.

Yeah, you make tons of since. Seriously it's hard to tell the schtick from your serious posts most of the time.

There's one remedy for this - trade for PPat. Then all is well again.

So has your ire shifted from Harden to Morey, or are they both in your crosshairs now??
