i was in Las Vegas over the weekend for Labor Day (attending Usher concert) and stayed at the Mandalay Bay Casino. they have this REALLY nice TOPLESS pool called the Moorea (for those that have not been, you gotta check it out). its only for guests of the hotel and the line is long to get in but it is definitely worth the wait. the pool had jacuzzis, waterfalls, bungalows, played club type music, and most importantly HOT TOPLESS girls. I felt like i was in a rap video. anyways, i was just at the bar getting a drink and saw Cuttino. Stopped by and chatted with him a bit. Seemed like a REALLY nice guy. Asked where i was from etc. and we talked about the Olympic games as well as the Magic. He commented on the lack of outside shooting in the games etc. I know there is alot of Cat bashing in teh past but one thing for sure is that the guy is truly a CLASS ACT and we were lucky to have a person with his character represent the Rox. My favorite Cuttino "class act" moment was a funny one : Cuttino was apparently trying to hit up on Destiny's Child a few years ago. Lisa Malosky calls him over and interviews him and in her own goofy dingy way asks him about him trying to hit on them. His response was a mumbled (paraphrased) "I know you ain't just front me out on tv..." and starts looking everwhere but at the camera. Needless to say he was a bit miffed and embarrassed because I believe he had a gf at the time.
you know the adult cabaret convention or adult entertainment convention was in Mandalay Bay this year. To clarifly this pool is in THE HOTEL, the all suite hotel, part of Mandalay Bay.
Does anyone else find it ironic that hikanoo thought the Cat was high class when he ran into him at a TOPLESS POOL? I love the Cat, but high class and lookin' at boobies just don't seem to go hand in hand to me.
I've heard only positive things about people's personal interactions with Cuttino, and so in that sense, I agree he is a "class act." But isn't this guy still married? I don't necessarily have a problem with him being in a topless bar, but only if he and his wife have a mutually respectful understanding.
Excuse me, but high class is the way one conducts one's self. If they're out in the open, they're there to be observed. The high class part is to do so tastefully and not to gawk. I'm afraid I wouldn't be too high class in that instance.
Cuttino's the man, I'll miss him. Hope he makes it back to the Rockets some point in his career, sooner rather than later.
hahaha. interesting point. afterall, i was there so it has to be ok right? jk.. but on a serious note, the place was very tasteful and was simply a place where people lounge around, sun bath, swim (while some choosing to do it with their tops off). this is very common and accepted in Europe and is becoming pretty popular in Las Vegas as well. Cuttino was very kind/friendly and was not arrogant (as some would expect from a professional athlete).
i seen mobley at the after hour club Shame the day b4 a early sunday game...i left at 5am and he was still there...he looked really faded...like he was rolling or something....lol

It's a nice hotel. Probably the best. But it is so far off the strip. I was coming back to MGM on that trammy thing, trashed, after partying at their club, and got off at the Luxor incorrectly and had to walk to MGM. Luckily there is plenty to see on the way. But that hotel would be much better if it were closer.
What are you, his mother? Sheesh. An NBA player ain't going to bed down at the Excalibur- it's the topless pool at the Mandalay Bay all the way!
