http://blogs.mercurynews.com/kawaka...ft-night-2009-we-were-very-far-down-the-road/ Very interesting interview with Steve Kerr. Love reading stuff like this. I bet the Warriors are thanking the heavens this never happened.
remember when we thought we wanted stoudemire also? amazing how the moves you don't make sometimes end up being the best ones.
agreed...also the ones that end up being denied by the comissioner...if we had gasol and nene still under contract...god...i can't imagine.
Hated David stern but he gave the rockets a huge gift by vetoing the gasol trade. Thank you stern!!!!
No one was ever close to trading for Amare because no one was stupid enough after looking at Amare's knees. Amare only had value in the minds of fans because fans don't ask questions like "Would the player break down X years down the road?" Well, fans and the Knicks. But no one has ever accused the Knicks of being an actual basketball organization. Morey rescinded his trade offer the moment Phoenix would not allow a physical. This isn't like the Gasol trade. That one I truly am thankful for the stroke of luck. Amare's just one of likely thousands of trade Morey has rejected over the years.
