If there is a location where no restaurants shut down, that's where robots live. CIA better be on it. Track and Trace. Track and Trace.

The Stafford location was always packed as well. They always had coupons and seniors could eat for really cheap.

Souper Salads went downhill quick in Houston. Family used to frequent both all the time.

Dolce Vita - was closing anyways
Dak & Bop - had to-go here once, disappointed
Rajun Cajun on Gessner - nobody knew it was still open
Sweet Tomatoes - victim of millennials (and bad food and scene)
Treebeards Downtown - never heard of it (lulz)
    Crisp - still open

That's nothing. Surely there are more (and better) closings?

I hated going to Sweet Tomato. Never tried Super Salad. But did like Salata the two times I tried... seemed fresher and less icky foods I didn't like that Sweet Tomato served up (horrible pastas, even worse desserts).

Damn. I work in Marathon Tower down the street and that was one of the main happy hour spots we would hit for after-work drinks. If North Italia goes under we are totally screwed once our office re-opens. Well I guess there is still Moxie's

Than you would've definitely hated Souper Salad. Salata is a completely different dining concept thought.

What the future holds for buffet style dining remains to be seen.

    So true...
I stridently trumpet the glory of Texas food to anyone who will listen (sometimes even if they don’t wanna hear it :) We have a similar deficiency with TexMex and BBQ here, although things have gotten significantly better. I think the problem is that the bar had been set so low that people were happy to eat anything closely resembling the real deal. I suppose it is similar for pizza in Texas.

That is what I thought when I lived in Texas.

Having lived in places like NY and even more so Chicago.... I promise you the pizza in Texas is terrible.

Houston is overall the best or second best food city I have lived in...... Houston is criminally under estimated by food experts..... but not when it comes to pizza.

i guess we have a different taste as far as pizza because I've had pizzas both in NY and chicago and that includes those most visited placed there. not that much of a fan, especially the deep dishes that chicago loves haha.

not to say its the absolute best here or anything but I wouldn't label it as terrible imo.

Those blue cheese/bacon fries go hard. It's the green onions.

    Try Giacomos or Patrenellas.
