I know they are just girls but come on...

 

It's not just about girls but about a semi pro TEAM.

They've been playing together for a long time and are coached very well.

I can already see guys getting leveled by picks.

 

I totally understand and agree with that but I think the reason it's even a debate is because most of the people are like, they are girls.

 

When the title says "a bunch," does that mean like 10-15 of us versus 5 of them? Of course we'd beat them.

But that's crazy talk.

Oh, it's definitely true. I don't know much about UConn's scout team, but Tennessee's is made up of ex-lower level college and Juco players. I don't think they actually play many games, but practices are competitive.

 

I used to play with a bunch of the girls from Texas when they were pretty good, and they had a hard time keeping up with some of the better Rec players. I think they only chance they would have is if they just started lighting it up from downtown.

 

I am not sure really whether we could or not ,but i do know this UCONN team that has a 89 game winning streak is pretty unreal ...not only are the winning , but dominating their opponents.

Two different sports. Imo shouldn't be comparable.

 

I expect that if we included every so often posters we could find enough athleticism to run with these girls.

Anyone who thinks an average or even a better than average group of us in their 20's-40's who are weekend warrior types wouldn't get smoked is either really misogynistic or really delusional.

Look, I don't care who you are, what you are, etc... to win 89 STRAIGHT times at anything, even at cards or checkers or whatever is frigging AMAZING. I know that Geno can be an ass but people need to give them their props here and quit focusing on that it is a "women's basketball team".

 

Well in that case we should always mention the Comets when we talk about professional basketball championships.
