If Bynum wants to play here, why dont we just keep our rookies, play them this year to see what we have, tank, take our lottery and torontos lottery pick next year, draft two cats or trade the picks for another star and then just sign bynum outright?

Seems like the best course of action to me, sorry if this idea has been thrown out there, i tried to glance through the 26 threads on bynum/howard but there just too many threads now. If its been thrown out there, lock her up, not trying to rehash ideas.

howard for one year with no team or bynum in one year? 2? with a team full of potentially promising rookies and high picks, maybe cap space to sign a harden as well.

Probably a Bird's rights thing, same as Howard. LA would be able to offer a bigger deal even if it resulted in a black hole sucking luxury tax money from the owner's pocket.

If we sign him outright, than Bynum will lose a lot of guaranteed money.

The most likely scenario is he will just resign with the Lakers.

The difference is 57 million for Bynum in guaranteed money. He won't leave the Lakers for that. Sorry.

Did you not see the part where i said if this idea has been thrown out then lock the thread? lol theres like a million posts in 20 threads and theyre all about either getting howard or bynum and using all our picks and rookies to do it. as if i create a million threads.

I was genuinely asking, if bynum is unrestricted and wants to come here then why havent i seen this idea as it seems better.

I was under the impression that that didnt matter to him, like it apparently doesnt matter to dwight...only difference being that bynum actually wants to be here.

Mods can lock it up, im guessing its been thrown out there already.

Lol. Wow. One guy with 100 posts tries to clown and it apparently gives power to all the other anonymous scrubs of the board to open up and try and police. Obviously I don't have a ton of posts myself....but then again....I don't try my hand at policing thread-starting policies either.

This isn't a great thread....but there have been far worse where people have sat silently. One dude goes at it and it's like a pack of lowly wolves....

But I digress, Westbrick, Korea and sweetbob hit upon the most valid reasoning.

BTW 713....is that the based gawd himself?

57 million reasons why...we want them bc how hard is it to turn down a ton
of extra guaranteed money from the team that has your rights...the CBA is set
up so teams keep their stars that's why the team with birds' rights can pay more
than any other team. So thanks for another click
