In the last 3 days this is TCU's recruiting stories: 1. Top defensive lineman Jon Lewis switched from Red Raiders to TCU 2. Horned Frogs draw offensive lineman Carter Wall away from SMU 3. 4 star WR Brandon Carter swaps Sooners for TCU An almost took an ESPN Top 150 DE from USC
Nice, I was just reading about that. As we enter the final weeks of recruiting, TCU has picked up a big-time player -- Euless Trinity receiver Brandon Carter has switched his verbal commitment from Oklahoma to the Horned Frogs. Carter told ESPNDallas.com Tuesday night that he changed his mind because TCU plans to use him as a slot receiver, and the campus is a short drive from his hometown. The four-star recruit also told Travis L. Brown he felt like a good fit with the players. "It's the same atmosphere as Trinity, so that's what I really liked," he said. TCU now has commitments from three of the Dallas area's top 10 recruits, with wide receiver LaDarius Brown and linebacker Deryck Gildon also expected to sign. All three are rated four-star recruits. TCU has 23 commitments as of today.
UH OOC schedule announced. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/college/houston/7389949.html UCLA, Georgia State, @LA Tech, @UNT Apparently undefeated is the goal this year.
Man, that's lame. What does that leave TCU with? .....4 home games? And they need to fill the void where Texas Tech chickened out?
They'll move one of the MWC away games back to Fort Worth, but thats no consolation. The only thing that makes this bearable is TCU being the baseball preseason #1 ranked team.
Official schedule out for UH 2011 Houston Football Schedule Date Opponent Time Series Streak Sept. 3 UCLA TBA UCLA leads 3-2 L3 Sept. 10 at North Texas TBA NT leads 7-5 W2 Sept. 17 at Louisiana Tech TBA UH leads 3-2 L2 Sept. 24 GEORGIA STATE TBA First Meeting -- Oct. 1 at UTEP TBA Tied 4-4 W1 Oct. 8 EAST CAROLINA TBA ECU leads 6-4 L1 Oct. 22 MARSHALL TBA Tied 1-1 L1 Oct. 29 RICE TBA UH leads 26-11 L1 Nov. 5 at UAB TBA UAB leads 4-3 W2 Nov. 12 at Tulane TBA UH leads 12-4 W7 Nov. 19 SMU TBA UH leads 15-9-1 W5 Nov. 26 at Tulsa TBA UH leads 19-17 L1 I really like our home schedule. UCLA will be a big draw, ECU and Marshall are two of the more compelling East Division teams, smashing Rice's face in at Robertson will be fun, and the SMU game may very well be for the division title.
I like UH's home slate as well. The home schedule is pretty good, plus it will be neat to play in UNT's new stadium.
Really? That would be cool if it was the inaugural game. I can't believe we literally came within a inch of beating Bama @ Bama in 2007. That team was way better than their record indicated, and the following year they showed why.
Honestly, it was all based of what a die-hard Coogs fan told me. I'll have to check back with him to see where he got the source.
They need to find a WR named Montana and they'll be all set. Announcers could have a field day: "Montana watches from the stands as Montana throws to Montana for a Montana TD!"
