So Sanchez will be a Lion... and Bradford will go in the 2nd next year... to Miami?

    Or something...

Avoiding the draft to dodge Detroit again, I see.

Pete Carroll's come out and said he strongly disagree's with Sanchez's decision and the NFL prefers QBs with more experience. Normally, he's a guy that encourages his guys to go pro when the time is right.

So that brings up the question - what QB's have left early in recent years, and what kind of success have they had? Vince is obviously one, who got the money and draft spot, but hasn't had a great career at all. Any others that came out early? It seems that we have more RBs, WRs, and defensive players coming out early.

Listening to Jim Rome right now and Carroll did not hide his disagreement with Sanchez at all during the press conference. Can't wait to see the video.

Yeah, some are saying this is controversial, but I don't see how.

Remember Coach K discussing Corey Regrette? Said it was a terrible decision.

Agree - this is something that we'll only really evaluate after the fact. If Sanchez goes really high and/or does really well in the NFL, people are going to say Carroll was just interested in his own team (whether true or not). But if Sanchez falls hard, players may look and say "hey, this coach really knows what he's talking about and wants to protect me - I like that" and it will up his reputation.

I think Carroll is right. Sanchez isn't ready for the NFL and I doubt he does well. Carroll's been an NFL coach and just had Heisman Trophy winners Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart recently and he should know how Sanchez stacks up to them.

And there is no way the Lions draft Sanchez. Remember that Matt Millon is gone and Leinart's flameout in the NFL should be on their minds. I wouldn't be totally shocked if Sanchez goes in the 2nd round.
