I’d expect some team will offer Capela the max, and Morey would rather sign DeAndre Jordan to a 2-3 year deal at cheaper money than to match Capela

His name is Darius Rucker. He's a country-rock powerhouse. Show some respect!

    Thanks for posting this @hakeem94

Dream scenario would be getting PG if Lebron will not come here, and while Lebron is obviously better than PG, i'm in the camp that would still prefer to win without him if possible...George is also younger, same age as Harden basically so, that would also give us two stars in their prime for 4 years.

Not sure why there's a Love argument going on though, i don't really see how we can get two max guys, one alone would already be some sort of miracle...Love will be expiring next season, but we just don't have the assets to trade for him unless he says he just wants to be here.

As for the bench, maybe Codman is hinting at Melo (meh), DJ, Wade (yuk)...if DJ is willing to come off the bench and take the MLE that would skyrocket him as one of my favourite players.

Oh, isn't George also a fan of strippers etc? Maybe James can work his magic better than Magic (Johnson) lol.

DeAndre Jordan will probably take a pay cut to play in his hometown/no state tax

If LeBron leaves Cleveland for someplace other than Houston, the Cavs will want to get rid of Kevin Love money, so 1 year contract of Ryan Anderson plus picks for Kevin Love makes sense for both sides.

Honestly we don’t need Paul George. I’d rather have a rotation of Ariza/Tucker/Mbah a Moute, than just one Paul George

Not sure why it make sense for Cleveland, they have still a couple of horrible contracts on that roster, if Lebron leaves Love will definitely be traded, but not for another bad contract like Anderson and a bad pick, again, unless Love forces the Cavs to be traded only here which is possible i guess, but i wouldn't exactly expect him to act this way.

I would certainly hope and expect they would have a backup plan. If they don't then Morey should be fired.

Waiting for the Bimathug post to render all this completely unfeasible and ruin my optimism and dreams.

To think that not even 2 years ago, nearly everyone was saying no one wants to play with Harden. That he was a ball-hog, no defense, stat padder, who would rather spend time at the club than at the gym.

Then when we signed MDA, he was touted as a washed up coach who would only mean more mediocrity.

We couldn’t even get a courtesy meeting with KD even though Harden is one of his closest friends. We got rejected by Kent Bazemore! Had to “settle” for injury-prone Gordon and Anderson.

I was in the minority who still believed in Harden after 2016 and was pretty excited when MDA signed on. Even then, I remember feeling like this team was going to be stuck in a state of playoff mediocrity aka the Atlanta Hawks (2008-2017); pretty good team but never a true contender.

Now it seems like everyone wants to play with Harden and coached by MDA. Players are willing to sacrifice major money and playing time to join this team.

Credit to Harden and MDA for silencing the haters.

Major props to Morey though. He, too, was getting heat and pressured to get out of town after 2016. But he’s done such an amazing job keeping the organization afloat with smart moves. Most other GMs would have either quit or made crappy moves to save themselves. Morey saw a chance and took it, and now we are experiencing the vision.

Next season, Love's contract is for $24 million, and $25.5 million the season after that (player option). Paul George can opt out of next season, as everyone knows, and that's about $21 million. Anyone think he's going to take a cut rate deal with the Rockets? I don't. How are we going to be able to afford to sign them, even if the other team will do a sign and trade? We also have Capela and CP3 to sign, and some valuable role players, including Ariza, who I want to keep. At least we have Gordon locked up on a great deal for 2 seasons after this one, which is amazing. I'm visualizing a huge mountain of cash, and I'm having a hard time imagining Tilman spending it all. I hope Codman is right (some mixed feelings about Love, to be honest), but I don't know how Morey would be able to manage it.

Can’t we just sign and trade capela to Cleveland for Love? Wouldn’t a contract of $15m per year be enough?

Try to dump Anderson somewhere without taking salary back in order to sign PG13.

    Re-sign CP3.

Hopefully DJ, PJ, Luc and Ariza all take steep pay cuts. Most likely losing Gordon.

Would rather have him than Anderson.

Better offensively, defensively, better rebounder and can play spot minutes at the 5.
