Mike Macdonald has owned all Shanahan tree offenses with the Ravens. So im sure Seattle being in a division with two Shanahan offenses played a part in his hiring.
There is no deal until there is an offer, acceptance and delivery of the acceptance. "Finalizing the deal" means none of those have occurred.
So much for this "historic" coaching class. Besides Harbaugh, none of the other guys hired were considered hot candidates. All of the coaches that made up this "historic" class didn't get hired.
I'll give this much to the Commanders: If you are going to hire a retread coach, hire one who has been successful, at some point.
Man is this the end of the ‘Patriot Way’ Hoodie coaching tree? People keep wondering why he hasn’t gotten a gig and I keep thinking about that clip after the Patriots beat Pitt and Zappe and BoB are genuinely happy and celebrating together. But when Zappe looks at The Hoodie it’s just an awkward thumbs up and handshake. Like what a miserable f$cking old man. Who would want that?
I said early in the season that Belichick's main motivation at this point might be catching Don Shula (or maybe just passing George Halas to be #2).
It makes me laugh how, each year, 49ers fans have zero concern about any losses on the offensive staff. Kyle got it! On the other hand, I must say the drop off from Demeco to Steve Wilks at DC this season is noticeable IMO. Their styles are totally opposite. Demeco got in guys faces and barked at them loudly while Wilks seems to have a very soft touch.
I thought I'd mentioned it before, but i can't find it now.. Texans Coaching Train. 2025 Slowik takes a HC job. 2025 Jerrod Johnson takes the OC job in Houston. 2025 Case Keenum stays with the Texans as the QB coach instead of the onfield unofficial mentor QB/coach. It provides continuity and promotion.
