Monty Williams signed to Detroit to be the highest paid coach in history, a 6 year , $78.5 m contract . Stephen Silas agreed to be his lead assistant . Who will have a better record next year, Detroit or Houston ? Who has a better roster?

I hope to never hear the name Stephen Silas again.
3 names: Scottie Pippen, Derek Fisher, Stephen Silas
    Yes, he was that bad.

Neither team has a roster (yet). Houston is set up to tank and have 60M in space, so until the end of the off-season one cannot judge the roster

People on this board thought Bickerstaff was a bum, but look what happened in Cleveland

It will be interesting to see the development of Cade vs jalen Green, they will have many more battles in the future . Also will be interesting to see if udokas approach will make our team perform better; Detroit will be a good measuring stick by which we can compare similar rebuilding situations and our young talent versus theirs . Depending on how the draft and free agency happens, we will have to revisit this idea and by the end of the season we will be able to have a clearer picture of which team has a higher trajectory

So Detroit plans to continue tanking next year with zero player development.

You’re forgetting one more name. I’ll give you a hint…
Played overseas, resigned with his team and never interested in coming to play for the Rockets .

Silas was not ready to be a head coach yet. congrats to him.

hopefully he wont turn out to be an amazing coach in the future because CF will melt down bumping 7 yr old threads, lol

The hate Silas gets from halfwit lemmings is hilarious.
Totally in keeping with the myopic mindset of CF.

Hate is a strong word. It's not Silas' fault he was miscast. He was never meant to be a head coach with his introvert soft personality. The Rockets needed assistant coaches to play "bad cop" and instill discipline. That is the job of the head coach. The hierarchial dynamics fall apart when you make assistant coaches responsible for it.

He's actually underrated on this message board in terms of actual basketball knowledge. That isn't what he sucked at. Hence why he's a good assistant coach. He's good with X's and O's. He's not good with having young players following the plan.

Nah man, Silas met expectations just like John Wall - they were our tank commanders.

    Now it's time to win.
