I love how on CNN.com's front page the story title is "Christina Aguilera arrested" when in reality it wasn't even remotely the case. I understand the idea is to get hits but I, personally, find it annoying when these news sites intentionally mislead people. Anyway, what a rough month for Aguilera. From botching the Super Bowl national anthem to nearly falling on stage at the Grammy's to this type of negative pub. I'm sure she's glad February 2011 is history.
From what I understand, she was arrested and booked for public intoxication. Supposedly, she's been hitting the bottle hard since her separation and her people want her in rehab.
I "like" how you put "quotes" around the word "arrested", because that makes me "think" that it's a "joke." " "
Right. I'm just responding to CNN's very vague and dubious write-up here. Nowhere in there does it suggest (or confirm) the public intoxication arrest. It only remarks that she was merely "detained".

What?!? I did not think she messed up the national anthem that bad..... Too bad for her about getting a Public intoxication. Its never good time dealing with the courts about that.
Sounds like the opposite - they got the title right and then tried to help her out by softening the report. That already sounds fishy. It's freakin' Christina Aguilera. I'm sure she has a whole team of managers, agents, etc that she could call. The police clearly found another reason to take her in.
You got the Strom Thurmond reference, right? Probably was the last time I really posted in the, blech, D&D.
This is actually somewhat sad that this has happened to her. One of the last movies I saw in the theaters (outside of "Unknown" which is brilliant, by the way) was "Burlesque" which starred her and Cher. I felt that Aguilera showed a lot of promise as an actress. Of course, her singing was fantastic and she showed she could dance, too. I told my wife that this could be the start of something big for her - well maybe not, now.
