Yeah, well so was Carmelo (named Anthony) but it didn't seem to help him either. :D

Why are people evaluating the Rockets on this joke game again?

Dave Chappelle is right about this generation taking everything too serious

    THIS WAS A JOKE GAME

I disagree, if he can hit that consistently, watch out. It's basically a runner from the 3 point line. Look at how much separation he got. Defenders won't know if he's going for the step back or one legged 3. Unguardable.

IThe first quarter I thought that was as fast and quick as I’ve seen harden move since his first season in htown. He was moving and pushing the ball/throwing outlets to Eric for the quick 3 and finding Clint on the outlet. Harden probaly hasn’t moved that fast since the big booty glamour shows at the gold club members clubhouse . He was pushing the pace.

Touché .. I bet you're correct. I would've said "right" but didn't want to confuse things. I hadn't considered that the move is a counter. Props to you.

Impressed with Green, Capela, Harden's passes and Clemons. Hartenstein looked decent and Blossomgame showed some. I really liked Thabo's game, very smart, knew where to be on rebounds, gave some very clever passes and just a hustler. House had some nice drives. This game should tell you nothing though as far as making threes, their defense was basically zero.

rivers couldn't do anything or didn't care to do anything last night. he was basically as much of a no-show as ryno was.

Some wild overreactions of mine to this exhibition pickup-style game:

Harden's one-legged 3 is trash and needs to be abandoned.
RA is not good at basketball and needs to be abandoned.
DMo doesn't have a spot on this roster, but if Tyson goes down to injury then I hope we give him a shot.
    Gary Clark lost his three-pointer.
Bill Worrell, who I love, is not on the top of his game.
James Nunnally looked awful. I remember the holic hype.
The team looks more connected and like they're having more fun. Grumpy Old CP3 had to go, I suppose.

People really shouldn't take anything out of this game, although the pace in the first two quarter was definitely exciting and it's good to see much more focus on transition.

That being said, exhibition game or not, Clemons deserves a closer look because he performed well in summer league and obviously showed today he isn't shy with shooting. If he can perform at a similar level against NBA level competition he'd be a valuable bench player.

The problem with this is, in order to make those consistently, he has to take those consistently. If he whiffs on his first 2 or 3 attempts, I'd be discouraged to attempt more, and instead, attempt normal stepback 3s.

This isn't the one-legged Dirk shot which was so easy for him because it was closer to the basket, Dirk is tall so he can shoot over people and Dirk is a good shooter.

Harden isn't a prolific 3pt shooter and the degree of difficulty in taking this particular shot is very high. Also, it takes a lot of energy to keep attempting these shots, even if you are more open than when taking a regular 3.

I'm all for Harden coming up with new offensive moves, but I feel like this ain't it.

The % of that shot actually made in real games is likely going to be bad

Scary Gary never got a consistent one, there was nothing he could lose in the first place.
