Durant absolutely should shut up. Very few players have deserved more butt whopping for line stepping like he has. Whatever weights Mad Max threw at Amigo Herrera's head back in the day, add a couple more plates at Durant. At minimum, Durant should pick his spots & subjects better. But nobody owes that grouchy conceited prick a thing.

 

Who are you tell an NBA star he deserves butt whooping? Can you tell that to his face? LMAO classic keyboard warrior.

He is averaging 26 on near 50/40/90 the ones who deserve butt whooping are keyboard warriors posting false narratives conveniently forgetting facts like how Jabari has only played better after the KD files dropped.

 

Good catch - I thought their TS%, for some reason, had dipped since the ASB. My mistake.

I think a lot of the problems may also have to do with how defenses have played them. I can't prove it, because I really wasn't paying too close attention, but wasn't the whole double teaming of Durant started by Borrego and the Pelicans back in December? That's completely wrecked the team in a few games. Their offensive rating has gone down post vs pre ASB, too. Their defensive rating has stayed pretty much the same, but that rating was good enough for a top 5 or 6 team in the league pre-ASB, but is only around 10th-11th post-ASB. It's almost like a game within a game in these stats.

 

Nah its good to clap back on the haters you just hate to be proven wrong thats why you want him to shut up.

 

Rockets fans hating on Durant is wild lol. We got a HOF playing for us and people would rather have Jalen Green? like whoever thinks this is ****ing r****ded.

 

Every team we have played post ASB - blitz Durant and double team him on the perimeter and make him pass the ball. It's an automatic turnover at this point. It's frustrating to see the Rockets STILL haven't figured out how to beat this.

Pretty much is a game within the game. The Rockets unconventional 90's approach, with their lack of chemistry & energy is ugly to watch. But still creates extra strategy for the other team, at least

I wouldn't be surprised if that Borrego approach has been emulated. For Sengun, not sure what game it started, but seemed teams started getting a "book" on him too.

I didn't check the offensive rating stat, but it would seem to more accurately reflect the overall ineffectiveness outside of pure FG%'s

KD is so scandalous and I love it.

While the Hawks aren’t an elite team, it was nice to win easy and execute well.

“When we lose, we’re easy targets. Well, I’m an easy target. Everywhere I’ve been, it feels like when we lose games, it’s like, ‘Look at KD’s body language. Look at him not smiling when we’re losing,’” he said. “But when we win and chest bumping, smiling, having a good time over there, it never gets talked about.”

That’s just the name of the game, Durant said, adding that he feels people hate-watch Houston’s games just to find areas of criticsm. Back to back losses to the Lakers — two games where aggressive double-teams limited Durant’s ability to score — brought out “the vultures,” he said.

“In order for that not to happen, we gotta win basketball games… it will quiet out the noise,” he said. “… But I see them coming back out the basement, the woodworks, the attic. They come out the cracks and crevices. They like roaches, those people.”

Jabari Smith Jr., asked about Durant’s comments, said the vibes have been good — even through the losses.

“Ain’t nobody overly tripping,” he said.

The Rockets won’t hang their head or act like the world ended if they lose a game as long as they put forth their best effort and do the right things, he said. Sometimes shots aren’t going to fall. Staying consistent with energy and approach is both their goal and the mark of a great team, Smith Jr. said.

Alperen Şengün said the Rockets talk all the time and need to talk more. When everybody communicates, there isn’t confusion.

“When everybody say something, we still can agree with each other and then go from there,” he said. “… Communication is key.”

 

The Hawks have been red hot I think they won 11 in a row and young, lengthy and athletic this is the type of team you'd think they would struggle against.

Hopefully this means the Rockets finally ironed some things out esp since Reed is starting now to provide some ball handling.
