No need to reply to these posts. Just report them and we'll do the rest. It just may not be immediate during games.

Did you read any of the posts pointing out Brooks/Beverley backing up Lin with little dropoff, vs. Harden, Parsons, Howard with terrible backups Garcia, Casspi, and Asik injured? Of course Harden and Howard would get more leeway. What's weird is that you think Lin is on par with those two. If we had a 3 who could make shots, Parsons would've been subbed just as soon. They even brought Covington up. That's how little management has faith in Garcia/Casspi. Does that make any sense?

Yeah you're saying exactly what I was saying. Lin's leash is by far the shortest of any of the starters. That's all I was saying. I don't agree with you that it's because of the backup players. This was happening even with Tony Douglas.

Patrick Beverly's leash is a lot longer than Lin's. Not sure how you can refute that. Are you calling Beverly a superstar?

he's a proven better fit with our superstars there are at least two thread with numbers to back that up. he probably does what mchale asks him to do to complement the starters

Except for the stat that matters. Wins. Rockets have a better winning percentage when Lin starts compared to when Beverly starts.

Also Lin is by far the superior player to Beverly so unless Lin is not in the future plans of the Rockets, which is probably true, there is no reason to develop Beverly over Lin.

You can refute it because Lin often finishes games out instead of Beverley? McHale is a 'ride the hot hand' kind of guy when it comes to his role players, not saying I agree with it, but that's how he operates with our PG rotation.

The problem with those stats is that lately when Lin has started there was no bench. At least in most games Bev started there was a stronger bench.
