There are a number of teams looking at him b/c he'd most likely stay overseas for 1-2 years. I would really be worried about Bulls at 16/19, Toronto at 20, and OKC. I would trade the 25th and a future pick or Euro player to move up. We are very limited in who we can pick since we don't want to add any future salary.
YESSSSSS! Daryl Morey strikes again. Capela is a TOP 10 talent, make no mistake about it. Dude is a straight up steal.
We have alot of talented guys stashed away now. Too bad we can't have them all play together in Europe, as the Milan Vipers Capela, Llull Papanikolaou Diebler Todorovic Leunen Did I miss anyone?
http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Clint-Capela-6359/ Interview with him from April if you scroll down a bit. Born in Switzerland, mom is from Congo and dad is from Angola (I think that's what he said). Seems like a good dude.
I predict this guy will never play a minute in the NBA. Go back and look at his video showing his "weaknesses". He has a low basketball IQ and, unlike Ibaka, he can't shoot at all. His jump shot is terrible and he can't make FT's. Plus, he's actually 6'9 1/2 with no lower body strength making it hard to play inside, which is where he would play since he can't shoot from the outside.
He does need to work on lower body strength, awareness, and shooting free throws and long jumpers. I am always leery of thin big guys and do think he has a higher bust potential than a lot of Morey's pick, like White, but like White he also has high upside. However, he most likely plays a minute. 6'9 1/2 is tall for a PF without shoes and that was a year ago (may be a 1/2 inch taller now provided his shoes aren't thicker). His height will not make it hard to play inside and is actually a positive.
GET HIM IN THE WEIGHT ROOM! To be Ibaka, first he has to start LIFTING LIKE IBAKA! (I think Derrick Favors is a better comparison)
Is he on the summer league roster? If he really wants to play right away then he needs to showcase some of his skills this summer. Not that summer league means much (remember Green from 'Cuse) but it would at least give him a chance to play against some of the players from this years draft. I didn't realize the video was from a year ago. I went back and watched his video again and the one thing I'll say that a lot of other bigs don't have is ball handling skills. If he's really 6'11 then he's a darn good ball handler for a guy that big. The real question, though is whether he's big and strong enough to play inside. If that's the case then he needs to get in the weight room.
I don't think it has been decided if he will be on summer league or not. He still does need to get stronger.

I doubt he ever plays for the Rockets. I assume the Rockets tried to trade the pick for a future #1 without success.
