I wonder if Scott Borass will use this to drive Beltran`s price up to the Astros

Isn't this what happened to Moises Alou a couple years ago and he ended up missing the entire season ... I wonder how this happened ... Did he fall off his truck while washing it?

Kent was the one with the truck injury.

    Alou fell off a treadmill.

As long as there are no complications and he rehabs like he should, he'll be 100% in time for the season.

How do you figure? 6 months takes you to the first week of May.

I heard it on 610 as well and they said this was his contract year coming up where they were talking about extending his contract...and how that is going to be put on hold until about Decemeber now to see how severe the injury is...

They were looking at a return time of May for him according to the reports.

Purpura is having a press conference right now about it.

Unless there's additional damage (cartilige or ligament) or there's a setback while he's rehabing, he should be ready sometime in April. 6 months is very, very conservative.

Just my thoughts from personal experience, could be wrong.

That's what they said during th press conference? Man you got to be kidding me...who is he thinking he is Moises Alou, Ryan Leaf, or somebody...

In a contract extension year when you are going to get arbitration you are going to go and mess yourself up like that....

Talk about loosing a few million of his contract.

I'm not too worried about this... ACL injuries only scare me in basketball, and for guys who rely on speed... Lance doesn't.

Also, to say that he was an "idiot" for playing flag football, or basketball, or however he did it... is crazy as well. I know that these guys take a risk when they're playing other sports, but they are athletes, and they do like to have fun... to say that they should spend all off-season sitting in their houses and refusing to do anything related with sports is asking too much.

As it is, he'll be back around April-May... probably be a little stronger because of all the re-hab time (no more chubs Lance), and he'll still be as good as ever.
