I feel bad for the Chris Pauls of the NBA, the players whos teams blow, and all they want is to win. We give them such a hard time for leaving the franchise that drafted them, but if you're playing for a team that after a few years of promising optimism, has fallen back to the pits of the league, you'd want out too.

If that comment was based on his association with James' antics than I would like to note as well that there is nothing wrong with James leaving Cle, it was how he did it, just in case anyone else out there sees it otherwise, although i am sure most agree on this point

Move on to the next plan. Be it, going after Granger hard, or hope the Suns fail two months into the new season.

The title may be a bit of overstating - best to stick with what actually happened. Chris Paul does not demand trade in Monday meeting with front office or Chris Paul to remain a NOH for now.

We just need to hope that they have a horrible start to the season, then we pounce near the deadline.

Sounds like the confirmation that he's going to be shopped and they are increasing his trade value? A player don't change his point of view that easy/fast on an issue like this.

There is no direction for New Orleans. I wonder what convince him to stay?? What....all of a sudden they're going to get Tim Duncan coming over? No way. The team is not winning period because the rosters suck!! Paul should want to be traded just like James want to be going somewhere knowing the Cleveland team suck.

Maybe he shouldn't get injured for half a season then. The teams they had in Nola was pretty decent, but they could never stay healthy enough to do any damage.

I think CP made the correct decision to give the Hornets new GM and coach a chance to work thing out and for the ownership situation to sort itself out. Give it an honest go this season and watch watch what the team does personnel-wise.

If things work out in New Orleans, great. If the siutation remain a mess by, say, next January or February and he asked out then, he'll have the same opportunities and won't look like an ass.

Im guessing this means he will at least start the season with the Hornets...

but im willing to bet that he demands a trade after 20 games.

All I read into that is they had a good conversation. I see nothing like an absolute confirmation of a commitment to his staying in New Orleans. Or was there more to read than just the tweet?
