    Huh? The exception cannot be "traded". That $1.54mil trade exception can only be used to acquire a player that makes $1.54mil or less. It cannot be used for salary matching purposes.

    As long as it's not JR Smith or some other declining player, I will be okay with it, provided if RA goes out. Don't give Melton or Clark. Give a pick, and Vince Edwards along with RA for Bazemore.

    It's debatable that we did, Woj's tweet:

    Houston will send Onaku and cash to Dallas for a 2020 second-round pick swap, league sources tell ESPN.

    Implies that we had to give up cash to get rid of him. The pick swap is just a fake placeholder so that the Mavs "gave us something".
