Chilcot Inquiry report into Iraq War to be released today (Britain)

Not sure if this has made any waves over your side of the pond, but it's a very very big story over here. There was an inquiry commissioned to investigate the Iraq War way back in 2009, and it is finally released in about an hour.

The report is widely expected to implicate Tony Blair as a liar and potentially even a war criminal leading to impeachment. The major questions are whether he misled parliament to gain approval for war and whether he agreed to go to war in Iraq with George Bush prior to even asking for parliaments approval.

Should be very interesting, particularly with the political situation here right now. The new leader of Blair's party, Jeremy Corbyn, is an outspoken critic of Blair and the Iraq War and some say it's his lifetime ambition to denounce Blair as a war criminal. He might just get his chance today before being hounded out of office by his entire party, 80% of whom's elected representatives voted no confidence in him last week.
