I think Jalen can start for a few bottom teams but he just can't play in a winning team with a structured and slow half court offense. All his life, Jalen's been playing AAU style ball. No real set plays, free lancing on offense, it's no wonder he looks completely lost. I'd actually say that playing Silas ball has actually made him look better than he actually is.
In this one respect, Jalen reminds me of Lewis Lloyd. That guy was meh in half court sets, but was very dangerous in the open court on transition.
The Truth that KPJ was a way better player than Jalen, and that his gravity and attention gave Jalen space to be a decent player? And that FVV is a different guy, a pass first guy that doesn't generate the attention that KPJ did...and Jalen doesn't have the game to adjust? That truth? DD
For the mature eye, I complained about his 40 point games when his teammates set him up voluntarily and it looked very fake..... Oh yeah, he is the 2nd coming of Kobe, oh yeah Bradley Beal, Dev Book and Lavine..... But alas I got flamed or belittled, this is how the forum worked.....
