In this chapter, we jump ahead of the predictable narrative before the haters get there. We all know what comes next. When the advanced stats to support an old narrative go away, the easy play becomes to blame Jalen for something that one player does not have to do alone to prove anything. However, Jalen is his own biggest critic. This streak is all a lot of fun to us, but to a competitor like Jalen it doesn't take long to not be satisfied anymore. He feels the end of a season with no hope of contention and it doesn't sit well with him. He starts to identify the players who do and don't have championship DNA. You can see this early in MJ and Kobe's careers. All time greats ALWAYS start off respecting the hierarchy and system even if it sucks, and their early performances look meek as a result. It's not until the second half they get fed up and not until sophomore season that they start calling those guys out. You can't see it now because of his demeanour, but you will remember when it happens. The same way he intentionally torched Melo then called him out in the post game, he will f*ck a Rocket up if they're not here to win from next season - in his soft spoken way, with nail polish and long hair. He's going to teach them to man up on the inside. So as this summer arrives and we start hearing the echoes of broken ankles calling Jalen a loser, I want to reassure you that no rookie will put more hours of work in than Jalen Green this summer. The reason why the best possible outcome unfolded for him after his rough start was just hard work. It's the only way he knows how to deal with doubts and that's a much-rewarded attitude we have seen in history. My prediction for the end of this chapter: Jalen will make the biggest jump out of Barnes, Mobley and Cade and he will never look back again. His 2nd season will be better offensively and defensively than Kobe Bryant's 3rd season. Is Jalen going to be a winner or a loser?
I wanted to give the haters a head start while we keep celebrating. Really, when there are no games (summer), it's hater season because games are what shut them up. It's what they are going to do all summer long. So over here, even if they call him that, let's keep on pulling for Jalen.
Jalen Cade Barnes Mobley ETC... Will probably all make big strides this summer. Make no doubt, the 21 draft is gonna go down as one of the best ever. Green is gold. The sky's the limit.
