Parsons strikes me as a guy that's going to get arrested after retirement for breaking into a home to steal pain killers.
Man...this thread made me search up some old Chandler Parsons highlights. I forgot how mobile and athletic he was in his rookie season, even regularly guarding the opponents best player. I feel like his knee troubles started waaaaay before the surgeries. Like even by his third and final year here his defense dropped off a cliff and he didn't have the bounce he used to. Really like Parsons before he became a lazy, overpaid and injured actor/model wannabe. He could ball back in the day. Too bad he burned so many bridges on his way out.
As much has been going on in Parsons' life that's out of his hands, sometimes for your own sake it's best not to get too cocky and start running your mouth as if you're hot **** before you've really done anything significant aside from hitting 10 threes in a half, shake Kobe and hit a fade away over him in clutch time in LA and dunk a few times.
A few sentences and a selfie made him a Houston villain pretty quickly. Could've been avoided and he would still be somewhat liked/beloved around these parts. He got his money so I really give 0 ****s that he probably won't play in the league again.
Super Douche but dude is smart. He came into the league as a 2nd Round pick and made over $100+ million on NBA contracts. He played tough and hustled when he needed to and just coasted after he got his money. I would put him in the pantheon of Best Finesses in NBA History by a player.
I think it all started when he went to Dallas and played hurt, and ended up doing more damage on his knee. Just happens to some players (like Brandon Roy) they get injured and can never get back. Now being in a bad car crash, he just needs to get back to being normal and put basketball aside for now...
