Kobe Bryant has hinted in the past that he's only got two more years left in him, but he's also made comments about playing until he's 40. The assumption has always been that Bryant would play as long as humanly possible. But in an interview with CBSSports.com, Bryant told senior NBA writer Ken Berger that it's two-and-out for the five-time-champ

Hes just giving lip service. If he can bite his tongue and play for Team USA being like the 5th option on the floor, he'll bite his tongue and keep playing with the Lakers as long as they're winning. He's addicted to winning. He'll stick around for 3-5 more years

I feel he will want to go out while he is still a star. Two years and out seems possible.

Kobe is a ball hog, so he's just trying to get Dwight to buy in.

He probably says that cause he feels like he only has 2 years left. If he still feels like he can play after 2 years, he'll play.

I think it's possible. Depends how much he declines the next two seasons and how the Lakers championship prospects look in 2014.

Its unbelievable how long Kobe has played in this league and still continues to be a great player. Most guys around his age are now role players but Kobe is still the alpha dog and plays like a superstar every night. Hate him or not, he is a great player and had a great career. The NBA would feel a little different without a Kobe Bryant, not to the extent like when Michael Jordan retires because his last playoff game ever was legendary.

I can't wait for LA to suffer through some mediocre years again when Kobe retires. They will probably all jump on the Clippers wagon unless they are rewarded after one bad season with the #1 pick or something like that.

You'll have to drag him off the court.

Didn't he say the he wanted to retire in Italy? That would be nice. Just playing for fun and nothing else.

It's another way of saying, if you want me to play, you'll need to pay up.

I'm sure every International team in the world with money is going to line up to try to sign him to a contract once he retires from the NBA. After all he did say he wanted to play overseas...

He'll wait until Dwight extends his contract, then he'll re-sign for 3 more years.
