Right now for consideration for a nice used luxury car are: 2009 Hyundai Genesis Sedan 2009 Nissan Maxima 2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe/Sedan Any other suggestions for me to ponder over (prefer 4-door over Coupes)? Also FYI, I don't want any ownership of a Lexus or Mercedes.
Not to sound like a snob but a Nissan Maxima and Hyundai Genesis are not luxury cars. You can't say you want a luxury car and then say you don't want a Lexus or Mercedes. It's like saying I want a hot ass girl but she can't be a 9 or a 10.
lol. Genesis is a wayyyy better car the the entry level sedans of both of the marquees you posted. The es is basically a leathered up Camry.
Have you taken a look at an Acura? TSX or maybe even an TL. http://www.automobilemag.com/5_122_...gsPerPage=15&sortBy=VehicleYear&SortAsc=false
I don't know about reliability or resale, but the Genesis is very nice. My old boss has one and it is nicer than anything close to its price range.
The Maxima is not really a luxury car, but it's pretty nice with the new body style and fairly sporty. What about a BMW 328i? I think you might be able to get one certified around $25K. Of the ones you listed, I'd go with the Infiniti G37. It's rock-solid reliable, nice amount of horsepower, and lots of options. I'm not sold on Hyundai yet. They just started making higher end cars a couple of years ago. I'd wait on them to see which direction they really end up going.
I don't. I did a lot of research into them around launch time, and ended up buying a car just before the dealers got them in. I kind of regret it.
I was hoping...! I read somewhere a few months back that sales aren't great here in the States, so I'm a little afraid to pull the trigger in case they decide not to make them anymore.
