He averaged 24 a game on 17 shots I think for OKC the first couple weeks and then they began tethering him to Westbrook instead of running him with the 2nd unit and Felton. His numbers began to dip at that point and he never found his rhythm again.

20ppg has to come on 15 shots imo, I've always preferred 1.5pps but with Melo maybe 1.25pps is acceptable.

 

OKC got worse or basically stayed more or less the same.

They have absolutely no shooting but their defense will carry them. I think they're 6th or 7th in the West ATM. You really need shooting or LeBron James to win especially in the regular season.

Plus the Westbrook factor, you live and die by him and he's too focused on triple doubles.

 

that was assuming Melo would leave some money on the table as part of his buyout so he probably would want to at least re-coup some of the lost money. If he gets a full buyout if Melo is looking for even more money than just the vet min then I would be upset (but not surprised) that he wouldn't just take the vet min so the Rockets can be more creative and flexible with roster moves

This! The simple stat is when Brody shoots less than 15 shots they are competitive and when he shoots above they lose. He averaged 21 last season. He is not going to average less now that Melo is gone. He will ball dominate with Schroder on the court and basically kill any of his effectiveness and without reasonable attempts you will get crap from Dennis. He can't shoot the 3 and it will be a worse repeat of Melo and Oladipo. Roberson is not an offensive threat and neither are really any of the players other than George consistently. For that reason, Brody will feel compelled to chuck it along with PG13 in that horrible your turn offense that will have no real cohesion. Schroder provides an honest ability for Brody to play off the ball in a real offense and increase his efficiency but watch, he won't do it.

If I remember correctly, the were seeded higher last year before the season started.
