The past 2 seasons haven’t really made the rockets FO immune to criticism. It’s a forum, do what @AroundTheWorld has done by using the ignore function or learn to accept that people have differing views and may troll a bit on the internet..the mods have enough going on as it is. Let’s cut them some slack.

that's a gimmick, it's not pure

you make a thread because you want to give a pure message, if 1 or 1000 people reply, doesn't matter

When fans start talking about the Les Alexander days like it was some wonderland, you have to hit them with the truths
like he inherited Dream and Horry, Max, Kenny, Sam, Mario, Rudy T under the previous regime and fired the GM and essentially erased his contributions to the titles

Think about what happened if we didn't have Dream, we wouldn't have a first round playoff win for like 20 years until Yao and Ron Artest won it .

The Pippen acquisition was the downfall of the organization for decades
We got nothing in return for him, no young stars nothing.

Then even worse, he didn't pay Barkley, 3 million he owes him for letting Pippen under the salary cap. Barkley bad mouthed us for like 15 years cause thief Les kept the money

I understand that the criticism for Tilman.

But the dumb notion that Les was some great owner and he was responsible for Clutch City is ridiculous .
Might as well say that Michael Jordan didn't play in 1995.

The more Les kept marketing himself as the person who brought the championships, like his face all over the murals, is further from the truth.

And now Les wasn't cheap? really??

I totally understand now that the generation of humanity that we live in is extremely gullible and will believe in anything without research.

This is why hot take shows dominate the GARM now. This is the society where girls relate to Kylie Jenner who is rich and had plastic surgery so they bought all her cosmetics, which is just cosmetics with licensing her name and image.

The world is get dumber the more information is out. not all that information is good.

 

Tilman is doing mostly the same things Les his first years...cutting costs, putting his imprint on coaching/gm decisions, and overturning stadium experience/mgmt.

What people usually don't mention about Les's first years are: the cheapest jank championship rings in the modern sports era, replacing Calvin Murphy with a bland face palm inducing doofus, Turbo, and the pinstripe PJs the team had to rock for years.

I didn't even hate the guy from all those years (prob from him taking credit for the Drexler trade), but it was what it was.
